E.     MATERI PELAJARAN

Teks procedure adalah teks yang digunakan untuk memberi instruksi peringatan dan menyatakan urutan temporal. Untuk instruksi dan peringatan , fitur tata bahasa yang digunakan adalah kata kerja Imperative.

Untuk urutan temporal digunakan squences seperti :

First          = yang pertama                       Then                = kemudian

Next         = berikutnya                            Finally             = akhirnya

And          = dan                                       After that        = setelah itu

Susunan struktur generiknya sebagai berikut :

How to Serve “Gopek Tea”

 First, put one Gopek  tea bag into the cup. Second, pour on freshly boiled water (150 ml), allow to stand for about 5 minutes. Then add sugar to enchance the flavor and taste of this fine jasmine tea. A cup of Gopek tea is ready to serve.

Dengan contoh diatas diharapkan siswa dapat menentukan :

G.    LANGKAH-LANGKAH PEMBELAJARAN

a.       Kegiatan Awal Guru bertanya jawab dengan siswa tentang materi yang mengarah pada materi yang akan di sampaikan. 1.      Penjelasan tentang teks procedure yang ada di materi termasuk ciri-ciri teks procedure. b.      Kegiatan Inti 1.      Guru memberikan teks procedure pada siswa untuk diidentifikasi agar dapat menemukan aim/goal, material, steps dan imperative setelah siswa menemukan struktur generiknya teks procedure. 2.      Guru memberikan soal (latihan) menyusun kata acak menjadi kalimat fungsional pendek dalam teks procedure. Contoh: arrange these jumble words in correct sentence -          bag – first – cup – into – tea – the – one -          on – freshly – water – second – boiled -          stand – about – for – minutes – to – five -          sugar – then – flavor – the – enchance – taste – fine – this – tea – jasmine – add – to Guru dan siswa membahas bersama jawaban siswa dengan cara menukar jawaban. 3.      Setelah itu memberikan soal (latihan) kalimat acak untuk disusun menjadi paragrap yang padu dengan judul “How Calling Someone”. Arrange these sentences into a perfect paragrap. a.       A cup of Gopek tea is ready to serve b.      First, put one Gopek tea bag into the cup c.       Then add sugar to enchance the flavor and taste of this fine jasmine tea d.      Second, pour on freshly boiled water (150 ml) e.       Allow to stand for about five minutes 4.      Guru menyuruh siswa untuk mendiskusikan jawaban soal diatas secara berkelompok. 5.      Guru mengevaluasi jawaban siswa apakah sudah menguasai teks procedure apa belum. Sudah mampu menulis kalimat pendek sederhana apa belum (berdasarkan hasil jawaban siswa). Sudah mampu menulis esei berbentuk procedure apa belum (berdasarkan hasil jawaban siswa). c.       Kegiatan Penutup 1.      Menanyakan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami teks procedure 2.      Menyimpulkan materi 3.      Menyuruh siswa mencari contoh teks procedure sebagai PR yaitu mengklasifikasikan generic strukturnya. agar setelah pembelajaran ini siswa mampu membuat kalimat fungsional pendek dan teks fungsional pendek.
